I’m Briley Lewis, and I’m a NSF fellow and first-year graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles studying Astronomy & Astrophysics. I’m interested primarily in planetary systems – exoplanets, objects in our own solar system, how they form, and how we can create instruments to learn more about all this.
I recently graduated from Columbia University with my B.A. in Astrophysics (Class of 2018). I have previously worked at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, and also at Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, MD.
Outside of research, I am passionate about teaching and public outreach, especially with traditionally underrepresented groups in academia. I also spend my free time bringing together my love of science with my loves of crafting and writing. You can find me on Twitter @briles_34.
